Volunteer Spotlight: Cheryl Novak

Cheryl has been volunteering for the LVRR Kids Run for the past 19 years and is also a long-time club member.

LVRR: Why do you volunteer for the LVRR Kids Run?
Cheryl Novak: I strongly believe that fitness plays an important aspect in a young person’s life and getting them started early leads to a life time of fitness.

LVRR: What do you like best about the LVRR Kids Run?
Cheryl: I like to see  the progress of the young people from age group to age group and keep coming back year after year.

LVRR: Are you involved with any other LVRR events?
Cheryl: I volunteer for many LVRR events.

LVRR: What is / was your day job?
Cheryl: I am a retired World Language teacher for Allentown School District.

LVRR: Do you have any fitness goals for 2019?
Cheryl: I just want to keep going and stay healthy, I do yoga, run and bike.

LVRR: How many years have you been active with running / walking / exercise?
Cheryl: I have been active all my life but really got into it about 30 years ago.
