Welcome new board members!

Sheri Miltenberger and Dave Wall have joined the Board of Directors after a call for nominations when 3 board members stepped off at the end of the 2024 term. Please join us in welcoming Sheri and Dave to the Board.

Sheri (pictured at left)

LVRR: How many years have you been a member of LVRR?
Sheri: I’m not sure. I’ve done a few races with the club and officially joined in 2022 or so.

LVRR: What do you hope to contribute as a Board Member?
Sheri: I am a fairly recent runner and can help other newbies believe in themselves. If I can run marathons, so can they!

LVRR: Where is your favorite place to train?
Sheri: Trexler Park and Lehigh Parkway

LVRR: What is your favorite hobby?
Sheri: Reading, skiing, and traveling.

LVRR: What is your favorite book?
Sheri: Too many to list! For non-fiction recommendations, I suggest anything by Malcolm Gladwell. And Alison Weir. For books about running: Mile Markers: The 26.2 Most Important Reasons Why Women Run by Kristin Armstrong, 26 Marathons: What I learned about faith, identity, running, and life from my marathon career, by Meb Keflezighi, A Race Like No Other, by Liz Robbins

LVRR: What is your day job?
Sheri: librarian (one reason my answer above was too long!)

LVRR: Any running goals for 2023?
Sheri: I’m hoping to get back to a good fitness level after breaking my shoulder in 2023.

LVRR: What are your goals for the club?
Sheri: Increase numbers by identifying and eliminating barriers that may prevent people from participating.

LVRR: Where is your favorite place to train?
Dave: My favorite place to train is the Lehigh Parkway. It is the great escape place and is close to home.

LVRR: What is your favorite hobby?
Dave: My favorite hobby is restoring vintage cars and motorcycles.

LVRR: What is your favorite book?
Dave: My favorite book is “Unbroken”.

LVRR: What is your day job?
Dave: My day job is working as Director of Business Development & Contracting for a Bucks County based Pediatric and Adult Behavioral Health Provider.

LVRR: Any running goals for 2023?
Dave: My training goals for 2024 are to lower my 5K age group PR time and improve my 2023 finish time in the Rocky Run 10 miler. Ultimately, to remain injury free, of course!

LVRR: What are your goals for the club?
Dave: My goals for the club are to work with the Board on efforts to help increase participation in the club races to boost revenue toward funding its scholarships and to help promote the visibility of the great and important work the club continues to offer in fulfilling its mission in the Lehigh Valley running community.
