Free, No-Frills Race Series
ANNUAL WINTER RACE SINCE 2013!
The race scheduled for February 1st has been called off because of hazardous temperatures at the start.
We held our very first Ice Scraper 5k in December 2013 and since then this winter series has been a favorite for local runners. Keep warm at one of our two fire pits before and after the race, and enjoy some post-race hot chocolate and snacks. These races are an instant mood-buster on those cold, gray winter days.
RACE DETAILS
CHECK-IN: 8:30-9:45 a.m.
START TIME: 10:00 a.m.
LOCATION: LVRR Clubhouse, Lehigh Parkway, Allentown
TIME LIMIT: 60 minutes (19:35 minute mile pace)
AGE REQUIREMENT: 10 years old and up
Registration is online only. No race day registration.
Registration ends at 9PM on Saturday before the race.

ADDITIONAL INFO
- Accurately measured, mostly flat, cinder trail and paved surfaces in the Parkway.
- No awards will be given. Results will be posted to the LVRR website.
- Post-race food provided.
- All participants are required to sign a waiver at time of registration.
- All participants must be 10 years of age by the date of each race for which they are registered.
- All participants under 18 must have parental consent.
- Bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals (including dogs), and personal music players are not allowed in the race.
- The race committee reserves all rights to alter the course and/or alter the race distance, or cancel the race due to public safety.
Race Bandit Policy
A race bandit is any runner taking part in a race without the permission of the race directors, which can include but is not limited to joining the race field without registering or running while wearing another runner’s race bib. Lehigh Valley Road Runners has adopted the following policy in regard to runners who bandit at any and all of our events:
Race bandits will be banned from all LVRR events for a period of one year. If caught wearing a bib that is not your own, both parties will be banned from all LVRR events for a period of one year.
