About Our Volunteer Incentive Program

Our incentive program is designed to promote volunteerism within our club. This is a great way to get to know your fellow club members while giving back to the community at the same time.

LVRR will be tracking club members who will earn points for each time they volunteer based on the following criteria:

1 point per race or *qualifying event

Three brackets are based on current year volunteer numbers and a special volunteer gift will be awarded to those **qualifying club members at the conclusion of the year. The point cycle will begin on January 1 and end on December 31 of each year.

Gold Level Volunteer: 10 or more volunteer points earn an LVRR Jacket or St. Luke’s Half marathon registration

Silver Level Volunteer: 6-9 volunteer points earn an LVRR duffel bag or Super Bowl 10K registration or St.Luke’s 5K registration or Emmaus 4 miler registration

Bronze Level Volunteer: 3-5 volunteer points earn a 1-year LVRR membership

* earn points by volunteering at a race, race expo, clubhouse cleanup
** Club membership must be current through the current year
*** new this year – Jacket and Duffel bags will be mailed directly to recipient

    Volunteer Waiver 
    I know that volunteering for a road race is a potentially hazardous activity that could cause injury or death. I will not volunteer unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform my volunteer responsibilities at this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I assume all risks associated with volunteering for this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and headsets are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this guideline. Having read this waiver ad knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Lehigh Valley Road Runners, the city of Allentown, and all sponsors, their representatives, and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.  I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
