Five years ago our club members participated in the USATF Club Cross Country National Championships for an exciting cross country race on Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus. If you raced you will agree that it was an incredible day competing against top-notch talent from across the country. The event returns this December and Lehigh Valley Road Runners is proud to be sponsoring bringing the event back to the Lehigh Valley. Here is how you can be a part of it.
LVRR would like to have a strong representation at this national event and will field up to a total of eight teams (two teams per division) with a maximum of eight runners per team.
If you’re interested in participating on one of our teams please contact Michael Martinez at mfmmd@ptd.net by October 20, 2019. Michael will organize the teams on a first come, first served basis.
Additional information:
- There will be five divisions (Master Women’s 6K, Master Men’s (60+) 8K, Master Men’s (40-59)10K, Open Women’s 6K and Open Men’s 10K).
- Masters competitors must be 40 years of age or older on day of race.
- Upon notification of being chosen for a LVRR team, participant shall obtain a USATF membership (cost is $30.) Confirmation of such shall be submitted to Michael Martinez.
- Upon confirmation of USATF membership, LVRR will reimburse the participant $30 for their USATF membership.
- Participant will coordinate registration with Michael Martinez (registration fee is $40 before 12/1/19)
- Per USATF regulations, teammates will be required to purchase LVRR singlet (if they don’t already have one.)
