The response to our call inviting club members to join the Board of Directors was better than imagined. It’s reassuring to know that so many club members are ready and willing to step into new leadership roles. We had a very tough decision as all of the amazing candidates were equally capable candidates for the Board. During this process we had a third member step away from the Board and thus, added three new members from the candidate list.
Please join us in welcoming Robert Blizard, Ingrid Moore, and Mitch Hanna to the LVRR Board of Directors. (Pictured above from left to right.) We will be highlighting each of them in a future news article.
We would like to take the time to thank each of the following members for their combined 27 years of service on the Board.
Laurie Reinhart has served since 2004. Laurie was the Club Secretary as well as a race director for our Superbowl Tailgate Trot. In the past, she organized our Family Hikes, coordinated speakers for our St. Luke’s Half Race Expos as well as organized flyer distribution to neighborhoods along the race course alerting them to the upcoming race each year. She has also participated as a race pacer for the St. Luke’s Half and continues to serve on our Grant Committee.
Bob Bodkin served on the board since 2014. Bob was on our St. Luke’s Half Committee as well as being a course marshal and a race pacer. He continues to serve on the Scholarship Committee.
Tim Lambert served since 2016. Tim was on the membership committee and helped re-start our group runs. He continues to serve on the St. Luke’s half committee as well as the Superbowl Tailgate Trot.
We appreciate all of the time and energy they have given to the club and committee over the years.
