Thankful in November

We hope that you are enjoying the cool, crisp weather and all the colors fall brings with it. The best of luck to all of you who are racing during this beautiful time of year.

November is the month to be thankful, and on behalf of the LVRR Board, we thank you for being loyal club members, volunteers, participants, sponsors and spectators. Thank you, also, for helping us grow and change with the times. You are what makes this club thrive, and we thank you for returning each year.

The trees have been in full bloom, but most yards are now full of leaves so you know what that means….

The Race Directors are putting the final touches on our 7th annual Ice Scraper Race Series! Our first race will be Sunday December 8th, and, as usual, this race is free for club members. Please click the link to check the status of your 2020 membership prior to signing up. This race series, along with the daily group runs, are scheduled to keep you moving during the cooler months.

Also with the colder winter weather comes Lights in the Parkway! Please be aware that the Lights in the Parkway will begin November 29th and run through until December 28th.

If you are plan to run in the park during these dates, you can enter the park by the Police Academy. You will have to enter before 5:30 pm or you’ll be locked out.

Once you are finished your run, you can simply merge with outgoing traffic via the Police Academy parking lot.

We will host the annual clubhouse clean up this Sunday, November 3rd @ 1:00 so grab your gloves and leaf blower and join us.

Don’t forget, this Saturday we fall back and gain an hour of sleep….or add a few more miles on our Sunday run. Whatever you do with your extra hour, enjoy it!

We wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Leslie
