The following is a very touching letter the club received from the mother of Francesco Rizzuto, 2012 winner of the Summer Kids Series T-Shirt design contest. She regularly participates in our Kids Series and was recently honored for her work at school. She wanted to share with her classmates how much she enjoys our youth runs. Lehigh Valley Road Runners donated some left over t-shirts from last summer to her class. Thanks to her mother, Holly, getting in touch with us.
Dear Lehigh Valley Road Runners,
Thank you so much for allowing Francesca to have the t-shirts for her class presentation. Her third grade teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Reed (pictured rear left) and her principal, Ms. Brenda DeRenzo (pictured rear right) are also pictured with her classmates. Francesca is sitting in the front by herself. Francesca was the happiest little girl at Fogelsville Elementary on Friday. She felt very important talking about Mr. Neal Novak and her years of LVRR. She even brought in all of her medals and ribbons from LVRR!! At the end of the presentation, she announced that Mr. Novak had donated t-shirts for everyone and the class screamed so loud with excitement!!! It was a great day had by all. It is a great experience to see confidence being built in a child and I am truly thankful for your generosity. Thank you for all that you do.
