‘Tis the time of year when the hustle and bustle of the season can be overwhelming. We want to wish you all a joyous holiday season.
We have a lot of activities going on this month – Our Ice Scraper Series kicks off on December 8th here in the Parkway. We then have over 40 club members racing at the USATF Club XC Championships held at Lehigh University on December 14th. We hope that you will come show your support. As always, we hope to keep the momentum of fitness going with our weekly group runs. Escape the winter blues by meeting up with others to get your miles done.
The Lights in the Parkway is operating within the park. If you are plan to visit the park please enter by the Police Academy and get in before 5:30 PM or you will be locked out. Once you are in you can simply merge with outgoing traffic via the Police Academy parking lot after your run.
The Board made the decision to cancel the Dip in the Crick this year due to liability concerns. Last year was a rogue year and we were very concerned that you would get hurt. We will continue the traditional New Years Run and Luncheon. For those of you who have not joined us before, it is a great time. The Run starts at Emmaus Community Park at noon on New Years Day. You have a choice of a 5 mile run (not a race) or a 5K. Should you choose the 5K you miss out of the champagne stop at the top of the hill. The club will then host a lunch at Fire Co. #2 just down the road. Another way that we thank you for your continued support.
