Half Marathon

The St. Luke’s Half Marathon is one of the largest single day participatory athletic events in the Lehigh Valley. In 2011, 1100 kids participated in the Kids Run, 3,204 half marathon finishers, 635 5k finishers. 2011 was a record number year for both the half marathon and 5k events.

The St. Luke’s Half Marathon continues to be an LVRR club race, and is 100% volunteer supported, from the race organziers who manage the race and all of it’s logistics for upwards of 8 months each year, to the hundreds of volunteers who help on race weekend. Funds raised by the St. Luke’s Half Marathon and 5k support the LVRR Kids Races, scholarship programs for education & equipment and expanded communication with parents.

In the past 5 years over $150,000 in resources and funding were directed to support running & fitness.
